An award-winning duo, Sam & AJ have honed their craft at renowned Canadian institutions like The Second City, Rapid Fire Theatre, and Bad Dog Theatre. Now, they're bringing their signature blend of fast-paced, multi-character controlled chaos to the Free Association stage—and you’re invited to join the party!
Sam Roulston, a regular performer at the Free Association (This Doesn’t Leave The Room, Winner). He was shortlisted for the BBC New Comedian of The Year 2024 and was a finalist for Leicester Sq Comedian Of The Year 2023. His solo show, CRINGE, won The Second City Best New Comedy Award at the Toronto Fringe in 2022. Sam recently returned from the Sundance Film Festival, where his film "In A Violent Nature" had its world premiere (now in Cinemas).
A Canadian Comedy Award winner and alumnus of the legendary Rapid Fire Theatre, AJ Vaage is a veteran improviser who stars in the International Emmy-nominated They Came at Night on Prime Video. He regularly performs with the Free Association and teaches with The London Meisner Company, drawing on years of experience touring festivals like Improvaganza and the Edinburgh International Improv Festival. AJ balances his stage work with an award-winning filmmaking career, boasting additional acting credits on HBO, Netflix, and the CW.
