Getting to The Free Association

By Tube or Train

Southwark station (Jubilee line) is around a 5-minute walk away. Exit the station, cross Blackfriars Road, and head east along Union Street. The entrance to Old Union Yard Arches is on your left, just past the railway bridge. 

Waterloo station (Jubilee, Northern, Bakerloo, National Rail) and Borough station (Northern line) are both about 10 minutes away on foot.

Waterloo East and London Bridge train stations are both within walking distance (approx. 10 minutes). Blackfriars station is around 12 minutes.

By Bus

Several bus routes stop within a short walk from the theatre, including the 381, 344, C10, 45 and 63. The nearest stop is on The Cut or Blackfriars Road.

When you cross Blackfriars Road, head east along Union Street. The entrance to Old Union Yard Arches is on your left, just past the railway bridge. 

By Bike

Santander Cycles docking stations are nearby on The Cut and Waterloo Road.

There’s cycle parking inside Old Union Yard.

There are a Lime Bike parking on Union Street and Great Suffolk Street.

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate bicycles inside the venue.

By Car

The venue is inside the Congestion Charge zone. Street parking is limited before 6:30pm – we’d recommend public transport. The nearest car park is Q-Park Waterloo.

After 6:30pm parking is widely available on Great Suffolk Street. The nearest charging points are on Pockoc Street.

There is extensive motorbike parking on Great Suffolk street, 20 seconds walk from the venue.

Venue Accessibility

We want everyone to enjoy live improv. Our ground-floor venue has step-free access and an accessible bathroom. Please note the upper level of the venue is not wheelchair accessible. If you have any specific requirements, please get in touch ahead of your visit.
