About this class

This interactive workshop uses improvisation-based exercises to break old habits and enhance listening and communication skills.

Most people believe they’re good listeners. But the truth is that most of us listen to respond, not to understand. We’re already forming our next point while someone else is still talking. We prioritise being right over being open. And without realising it, we create environments where people hold back, ideas get lost, and collaboration stalls.

This workshop addresses that - practically, and in a way that sticks.
This is a hands-on, interactive session built around improvisation-based
exercises. Participants work through a series of practical exercises that expose the habits getting in the way of real communication, and replace them with better ones.

The focus is on deep active listening: staying present, postponing judgement, and building on what others bring rather than waiting for your turn to speak. By practising the “yes... and” principle - the cornerstone of improv - participants learn to create momentum in conversation rather than closing them down.

It’s not about being funny. Nobody needs to perform. The session is designed to feel engaging and energising, not exposing.
