About this class
Learn to apply The FA Theatre's comedy theory to written sketches: This class covers all the skills you will need to create complete sketches, from idea generation, techniques for crafting different types of sketches, how to finish them, and how to consistently replicate them.
In this class you will:
- Practise generating lots of different sketch ideas
- Learn the importance of set-up and grounding
- Work on techniques for repeat and heightening comedic patterns
- Gain confidence pitching your ideas and receiving feedback
- Develop skills in rewriting and redrafting sketches
Just so you know, our teachers assess the most beneficial placement for each student's progress so you may be asked to retake a course. Don’t worry, we still think you’re great, but it’s crucial to nail the skills in each level before moving on. That way you can hit the ground running and have more fun in your next class (and get a lovely big discount!).
