About our scholarship places:
We hold back 2 places on all our classes for scholarship students, to ensure there's space even if the class is sold out on the website. However, if a class is not available here but available on our website, please get in touch with hello@thefreeassociation.co.uk to see if we can open up a spot to you.
About the course:
Level 1 Intro to Longform Improv is The Free Association's beginner, no experience necessary, improvisation class.
In this course you will:
- Learn how to apply the principles of ‘yes and’ to your improvisation
- Improvise a whole scene from a single word inspiration
- Learn and practise space work
- Learn about the importance of commitment in scenes
- Gain confidence to perform an improvised scene from start to finish
Just so you know, our teachers assess the most beneficial placement for each student's progress so you may be asked to retake a course. Don’t worry, we still think you’re great, but it’s crucial to nail the skills in each level before moving on. That way you can hit the ground running and have more fun in your next class (and get a lovely big discount!).
