About this class
Below are The FA's available scholarship places on our Level 4 Harold improv classes.
You can register for any of the available dates.
About our scholarship places:
We hold back 2 places on all our classes for scholarship students, to ensure there's space even if the class is sold out on the website. However, if a class is not available here but is available on our website, please get in touch with hello@thefreeassociation.co.uk to see if we can open up a spot to you.
About the course:
Everyone loves stories. Whatever the medium, there is nothing quite as satisfying to an audience as a well-told story. In this course you will learn how to apply the core FA principles of Grounding and Point of View to tell spontaneous stories that are exciting, moving and hilarious.
Choose from available dates below.
In this class you will:
- Learn how to improvise a story from beginning to end
- Learn to use basic story spine and genre to help structure your stories
- Learn how to create engaging motivated central characters that propel your shows
- Practise supporting a narrative through backline choices and teamwork
- Learn to create and advance your plot through bold choices
Just so you know, our teachers assess the most beneficial placement for each student's progress so you may be asked to retake a course. Don’t worry, we still think you’re great, but it’s crucial to nail the skills in each level before moving on. That way you can hit the ground running and have more fun in your next class (and get a lovely big discount!).
